Safety & Loss Control

Safety & Loss Control (SLC) is a team of safety and industrial hygiene professionals organized within the Risk Management Division (RMD). SLC provides independent safety and industrial hygiene consultative resources to all state agencies. Our purpose is to help state agencies identify and correct workplace safety hazards—both environmental and behavioral—which place employees at risk for work related injury or illness. The goal of our unit is to help each agency we serve increase productivity, reduce expenses and lower taxpayer burden by creating a safer and healthier work environment for their employees.
